excessive sweating under arms Posted: 03-06-04 23:29pm
Hello,
il try and be brief, I cannot stop
sweating from under my arms. Doesnt
matter how hot/cold/relaxed/stressed or
whatever, it happens.I am type 1 diabetic,
which is under good control and im not
overweight. I am looking for any
suggestions of prducts that will have this
problem stop that can be purchased over
the counter from a pharmacy in australia.
I cannot got to my doctor about this and
im too embarrassed to talk to anyone else
about this. Alternatively, could you
please advise me on what I should look for
on the label of products that are
successful or methods of concealing this
embarrassing problem. Any suggestions
would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you.

I am sorry that I cannot help you with a
product, but why can't you talk to your
doctor? He/she will have the best way to
help you. My advice would be to change
your diet (not in a way that will harm you
since you are diabetic). You should
really talk to your doctor, but I am sure
someone will respond with a product idea.
Hope you can get rid of your problem!
Sorry I really could not help.

Thanks for the reply I cannot visit the
doctor because I cant do so without my
parents knowing (they have all neccessary
cards etc). I am to embarressed to talk
to them or anyone about it. Even if I
were to go to the doctor, id be to
embarrssed to tell him. I know that this
is stupid, I want to be able to tell him
and my parents, but I cant bring my self
to do it. I relly need help and I hope
that someone can offer further
suggestions.
Please please, I dont know what to do!

Ralph,
in australia, once you're 14, you can go
to the dr without your parents having any
knowledge of anything you discuss in fact
the dr can not even tell them you visited
him/her.
A girl could have a total hysterectomy
without her parents knowledge or consent,
once she's 14 & if the dr did tell
your parents then you can sue & get
big bucks because it's illegal & there
are cases that have been won on this
basis.
You could also take the medicare card (i
know not honest but) & see another dr
who doesn't know you or your parents, so
long as you mention the diabetes!!!!
Alternatively, go to a chemist that you
don't normally visit & ask the
pharmacist. Or try finding an on-line
naturopathy site that might have some
suggestions, or go to a library & look
up solutions to sweating, cures for
sweating or naturopathy books.
