Mini Trampoline And Diabetes

i just got a new mini-trampoline. i've heard that it is a good tool to use to get some cardio in. i've also heard that 10 minutes on it = 30 mins of running. is this true? any suggestions on how i could fit this into my life? how long should i bounce for, how often? thanks
