New User, Becoming EHEALTHy
I was put on a series of medications in my
early teens and I've been in the process
of withdrawing from them. One in
particular is wreaking havoc on my sex
life and I. Lexapro.
About six to nine days after withdrawal my
system goes insane. I get frequent brain
zaps and lethargy and the anxiety is
extreme...but forget that for now.
The sexual side effects are overwhelmingly
intolerable. It starts with a lack of
desire and completely pleasureless orgasm
and over a few days proceeds to a point
where I'm supersensitive. Holding an
erection can become painful and climax is
reached within a minute or two if I
attempt anything sexual - again to a
pleasureless end.
Half-Lifeing the drug out of my system
heeds no better results and having my body
addicted to this drug for the rest of my
life seems unbearable but...if that's what
it takes to keep a healthy and satisfying
sex life free of brain-zaps and
lethargy...bring it on the
antidepressants.
