As breast cancer have higher possibility of spreading to bone (called bone metastases) if suggested by your treating Doctor a Bone scan can eliminate that possibility.
If there is metastatic bone involvement your Doctor may suggest different treatment approach that may include combination of chemotherapy and Radiotherapy depending on the situation.
However in early stage of breast cancer if there is no lymph node involvement a test called sentinel node biopsy can be helpful.
If there is no spread to lymph node a Conservative breast cancer management is suggested and She can avoid a more radical approach.
After surgery there may be possibility of recurrence which can be ruled out by regular medical checkup.
