I then realized i have a bump on my vigina it not inside but it is like on the right side inside the lip of my vigina. Embarassed I dont no what to do i cant talk to my mom about it and im to scared to go to the doctors to figure out what it could be. I dont want to find out that i have an STD or something because i was raped not to long ago but never reported it. Does anyone no what it couple be, if so please help me!!!

It could be an std of some kind. You should really get yourself checked out, screened for everything. If you go to planned parenthood or a family planning clinic or even your family doctor it is confidential and you can get full std screening and an exam.

I know it's uncomfortable but it's important for your health. Also, when you're ready for a sexual relationship with someone in the future, it's important to know that you aren't going to pass anything along to someone you love/care about.

Some of the most common std's have no symptoms but can cause permanent damage (fertility damage) if left untreated. Chlamydia is an example of one that is extremely common, very often has no symptoms, very easy to treat/cure but can cause serious (fertility) damage if left untreated.

If you're nervous about going alone maybe a close friend will go with you.

Um, didn't you say that you were raped not too long ago? Also, many stds have a latency period where the person shows no symptoms for months, or never even shows symptoms.

Anyone who is having sex needs to go for annual pap smears.

I had a very similar bump happen to me once. It slowly went away and nothing bad happened. It was rather painful for a few days and I had to sit down a little funny, but it did fade away.

I would wait a few days. Mine went away on its own. So if yours doesn't then I'd talk to your mom.

I think you should still go to the doctors if you haven't had full std screening done since your rape - for the sake of your health and your future partners' health.

Ah, yes, I forgot about that part.

Definitely go get screened! It's very important!

Is there any chance that it could just be a boil? I've had them and they eventually either burst or go away. Just to be safe, go to your dr.

idk..i have similar bumps myself..they don't hurt or anything..a few itched at first ..weird..but i went to the gyn and got a pap smear because i had just had sex (with the same guy) for like the gazillionth time..

no std's ..nothing..and they're STILL there a few months later..i dont know what they are..and my gynocologist wasn't too informative either Sad

so i can't help ya too much on this one..just thought i'd throw that out there..so ya don't freak like i did or anything *althought i DO suggest you get it checked out* the test isn't as bad as you think..the wait is the worst part Smile its over before you know it

Am I the only one that saw the 'I was raped and didn't report it' part? Are you serious? Why would you not report it?

Raped, No. Molested as a child? Yes. I'm just wondering why you wouldn't report it? I don't understand. Please explain....

Some people don't like sharing that sorta stuff but you know the legal systems in this world don't always work either! I reported a sexual assault 3 years ago I went through 3 4 hour interviews and had to talk about every aspect of my life things that had nothing to do with it, it was really traumatic my life was put on hold for 2 years, I was 7 when it happened to me he also did it to 5 of my closest friends ( all family) and guess what...... he got away with it he's still out there doing this stuff to people. So If you think you've got a strong enough case go ahead report it you just may have a chance of locking them up but if not do what you have to do to get on with your life. I cant believe someone would be judging someone else for not reporting it. I understand that you may be thinking she could be preventing it from happening to someone else, but thats not always true anyway. Its not as simple as calling the police and they go & arrest them IT DOESN'T WORK LIKE THAT!

Okay first of all i want to thank you jesticle for your story. I like to hear people storys and knowing that im not the only person its happened to. I probably should have told someone but i didnt. My parents know about it now and now that im started to heal (kinda) ive been talking to people about it so i can try to show them just because you know a person doesnt mean they are safe so becareful! i also want them to know it happens around here because sometimes when you see it on tv enough its like oh thats scary glad it doesnt happen around here but the scary thing is, it happens everywhere, even here!!! But i dont think i could win, so im not going to try.

And second off.... to blulyneguy im sorry to hear what happened to you. But all people re-act diferent in these situations. When i was younger watching lifetime movies about woman being raped i often said if any guy did that to me i would go straight to the police but never considering about the emotional impact it has on you. When i was raped i didnt tell a soul not even my best friend, that i told everything too. I was embaressed, blaming myself for what had happened, and more scared then anything. I had no way of getting away from my attacker. I had to face him everywhere. School was the worst, there was no getting away, isnt school suppose to be safe, well it wasnt for me. But im not going to get into the details because i could go on for days, what i am trying to tell you is just because you think you would report it now, keep your emotions in mind. If that makes any sence.
