Hi there, this is my first post so hello to all!!! Here is my scenario...I have been on ortho tricyclerin for 6 years. I had my period - started my new pack and missed a few so I started bleeding on the 4th of June...I called the dr and they said to wait until the next period and then start a new pack. Well I am still waiting for it to start. And my boyfriend and I usually use a backup method but low and behold he did and oopsie(went inside of me)- on fathers day of all days!! Which was the 17th. I can tell when I ovualte because I get pain in the abdomial area and sure enough on the 18th or 19th - I can't remember - here comes the pain.... so now I am just waiting to start...last week I became very lighted and came close to passing out and my breast aren't "sore" but I get these zinger like pains inside my nipples. I thought a few days ago I was going to start but the back pain went away and still nothing. I have been very tired but not everyday..some days I am fine...I have 2 kids from my ex and I can't remember how I felt when I was pregnant because it was so long ago...I took a test yesterday and it was negative....should I wait another week and test again? I could have sworn that wiht the other 2 I wasn't even due for my period and I got a positive so wouldn't it be the same for this time?? Thanks in advance for your advice!!

I would wait a week and test again. Stopping the pill can cause irregularities in your cycle. I didn't get my first period until 35 days after stopping the pill (I had been very regular pre-pill, 28 days to the dot). Some women can go 40 or 50 days or more before getting a period again. You can also have pregnancy type symptoms when the pill is getting out of your system.

The best bet is to test again in a week. If the test is still negative and you still don't have your period, go to the doctor and get a blood test done for pregnancy. If you did get pregnant on the 17th, it should show up in a blood test by now.
