Q: Pains In My Lower Abdomen. It's Lasted For Over a Week......

Hey, i'm 27 weeks along and I have had horrible back pain. Not only that but when I stand up to walk I have pains all across my lower abdomen. It's been over a week now. It hurts just to move sometimes...exspecially late at night when I have been laying for so long. The pain is constant and continues to get worse...at first I thought that it was stretching or that I had pulled a muscle...but nothing seems to help. Also when I was about 3 months I had bleeding and they told me that my placenta had pulled away from the uterus...but that it had reattached itself. Could that have anything to do with it? I have talked to my doctor and all she will tell me is to take a warm bath...I have but it doesn't seem to help. Has anyone had this happen before? If so please help me.....

I don't have any words of advice. I am in my first pregnancy and am only 8 weeks. Here's to hoping everything is ok though.

I personally would be concerned because of you said the placenta pulled away from your uterus at 3 months. Do you see a perinatologist or a regular OBGYN? Were you dx with placenta abruption or partial placenta abruption? I would personally want to be seen.

Maybe you should get checked because I had slight cramping during my pregnancy around that time i think(iam 32 weeks now) and Ligament pain ( kinda like near my hip on the outside of my uterus) but never exteme.
I hope that you feel better and that everything is okay. let us know

I see a regular obgyn. I have no idea what I had...I think it was only as partial placenta abruption. The baby moves around just like normal...and his kick is stronger then ever. So I have no idea what to think. I remember having pains before but that was right after it happened and that told me that I had a bruise on my placenta due to blood getting trapped in between that placenta and uterus when it reattached....but I haven't had any problems with that since. I remember right before this happened that one night I woke up with like bad cramping all across my stomach but it stopped so I thought nothing of it. I have had a miscariage before...so it concerns me. But my doctor won't see me for another couple of weeks. I have trips to the lake and out of state planned this weekend...and now i'm afraid to take them due to something happening.
