Illegeal Immigrants (Page 1)

I know many people feel that way, and I can understand that viewpoint, but I don't understand why "they" (along with people w/o insurance) should be turned away from getting medical treatment at a hospital. I guess if you're a self proclaimed "trophy wife" with money they should put people out of their beds for you.

but theres mexican iiligals driving brand new huge trucks. and they use up all of our medicaed and welfare and they lie. most of them lie and have 5 kids and 3 fammilies in the same crowded 3 bedroom house

i think borders prevent spread of disease (yes more about germs i know)
it would be too hectic if everyone could come and go

if there were no borders how could we keep terrorists away? keep track and prevent drugs from crossing over?
keep a murderer from running from country to country while he has a warrant for him?

borders dont just hold all the people back from spilling into everywhere
when you think about it they have alot of purpose

If there weren't borders, there would be no nations for the terrorists to hate.

I think cities can be far more effective at controlling drug trafficking than a nation can. Secondly, you could still have "states". I think a state system would work far better than countries.

Countries encourage ethnocentricity, which causes superiority and hate.

If the whole world gave a damn, they could all pitch in to catch a killer.

If you think open borders doesn't work, take a look at europe. It has open borders. It has a collective currency... which is stronger than the american dollar. I think america needs to come out of the isolationist dark-ages and into the new world. The real world. We already have a global economy. Unity is coming.

I agree there are some illegal immgrants who have completely taken over. Just about everywhere in Northeastern PA...there are hundreds of mexicans some are legal and some arent. They have caused problems in the past with job opportunities in the area. Yes they do live in large packs. I dont see how they can all live under one roof. I remember one time my friend lived in an apartment with her boyfriend and there was another person living downstairs. I couldnt see how their neighbor could stand having almost 8 mexicans living with her and her family. There were only two bedrooms and one bathroom...thats ridiculous. They prolly shouldnt even being receiving medicaid and welfare b/c like you said its not fair to other ppl who are U.S. citizen. medicaid and welfare is for ppl who really need insurance and help from the gov't. Just a few months ago a politician in Scranton had all the illegals in NEPA to be sent back to Mexico.

I do agree that a real stance needs to be taken. I wouldn't agree with a totally isolationist policy, but at least then everyone would know how we stand on immigration. Right now it is too loose and vague.

Look at this from a humanists' point of view. DOn't think about money or anything else for just a moment.

Down in mexico, living is hard. They can do job 1 up here, and live a lot better than they can doing the same job down in mexico.

Stop thinking of them as "others", as "those mexicans", "those people", etc. They are just like you and me. They are not animals living in "packs". You are dehumanizing them, and that's wrong. They are ordinary people, and all they want is a good life, a good education for their children, and adequet health care.

All they want is clean water, a steady job, and a real income. They want a good roof over their heads; they don't want to live in the squalor they do in the south.

Many immigrants send much of their money back home so that their families can afford health care and food down in mexico.

Are there "bad" immigrants? Illegal aliens who do nothing except mooch off our taxes? Yes. I'd be idiotic not to admit that. But I think (and maybe someone needs to find the statistics on this) that most illegal and legal immigrants are working hard for their money every single day.

not sure what the statistics are but i know a few illigal immigrants that do work hard
im not saying all of them are money sucking people
its just the majority of them

theres a duplex neighborhood that is brand new and was just built 2 yrs ago
its like townhomes and stuff
and until about a year ago it was super nice
now 99% of everyone who lives there is illigal immigrants and the place seriously looks like trash
beer cans everywhere
trashy yards
no respect for the property they live on and the landlords who own them dont care because as long as they get their rent money no one cares

however i must say that ou never here of them doing anything bad on the news? im sure they stick to themselves and you never here that "2 immigrants shot and killed someone" on the news
