My son was diagnosed with diabetes last year. He is taking Glimepiride. We recently heard that people who take this medication are at higher risk of heart disease. Since we have a heavy family history of this disorder he was wondering if Insulin would be as risky?
Does Insulin increase the risk as much as Glimepiride?
