Q: Question About the Nuva Ring

i am using the Nuva Ring, but when i with my Fiance, he says that the ring kinda hurts him.

If I take the ring out during sex, but put it back right after, does it loose its effectivness??

or should i just switch to a pill or patch?

I would think that you would need to leave it in for it to be completely effective. It almost seems to me that it would be like missing a pill. If you don't like it I would just change to the patch or the pill.

Yes, you can take out the ring during sex. You can remove the ring for up to 3 hours (that's a lot of sex!) and it's still 100% effective!
