Every mornin when we wake up, I take .oni's diaper off and she runs around naked for about an hour.

it never fails. WHen I go potty, she stands there, and starts to potty! then she'll go to the toilet and flush it (of course before I can get finished wiping myself)!

SO, I figured, lets get her a potty and see if she'll sit on it while I sit on the big potty.

When we took it out the box she immedietly sat on it (because she has other chairs that she sits on) and we would tell her "pee pee .oni, poo poo!!)lol! And she would start clapping!! As if she knew that her pottying would create an applaude! hahahahha!

We didn't do it this mornin, cuz she slept too late (11am) Shocked ! so tomorrow mornin, it's on!!

SHe's only 14 months, and I'm sure many of you think that may be too early, but I think it's worth a shot. If she gets it, she gets it. If not, then practice makes perfect.

My mom has always said that girls are easier to potty train and I believe I was about 1 and a half when I was potty trained.

I've heard the same about girls being easier.

I'd *love* to have her trained before the new baby...wishful thinking! lol!

It doesn't hurt to try. My sis-in-law was so worried that her first little boy wouldn't be trained before her second one arrived but lo and behold he did it. That was not long after his second birthday too. . He was probably closer to 2 and a half. Now her youngest is a 15 month old boy and she is due october 17. She will definitely have two in diapers. I am pretty sure this one is going to be a little older than the first one was. He just has a more laid back attitude while her first is very independent and wants to do things on his own.

I think that's great Sarah! I plan to do the same thing when Ava's around Oni's age. It doesn't hurt to just have the potty in the bathroom and see what she does with it. Just get her use to it and she'll use it when she's ready.

it's a great idea! I pretty much trained myself when I was very young but my sister. . .well she pee'd the bed until she was quite a bit older. . . .
depends on the kid I guess.
