My Crooked Tummy

ok. my doc has been telling me at my visits that the baby's head is down and engaged and it feels like it's been dropping lower. i'm now carrying lower and further out in front. the thing is it seems like the baby is moving further and further to the left. i'm only feeling movements on the left side and they seem to be getting further out. i was lying down this morning and i had some braxton hicks contractions and my uterus is totally crooked to the left. it's all soft on the right side and hard all the way down on the left side. right down to my hip almost. it's so weird. is this normal? i'm scared of the baby being breech. i think it's called transverse breech or something, when they turn on their side or the shoulder is presenting(?). i have an appointment this afternoon so i'm going to ask the doctor of course, i'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if it's something to worry about. im 37 weeks now so i guess i'm a little more worried about the baby's position in case it's wrong when i go into labour.

If the doctor says the baby is head down she is more than likely head down, at at this stage it's very unlikely she'd move from being head down.

I know that with me the left side of my stomach is always lumped out and rock hard... and my right side is kinda squishy, I feel the movement on the right side because I think that is where her legs are Laughing
It's probably just wehre your babe is comfortable... try not to worry too much , if the doctor was worried about her position she'd probably have mentioned so by now.
But definately bring it up, and let us know, I hope it doesn't mean anything cuz I'm experiencing the same thing Smile
Good luck at your appointment this afternoon!

i had my appointment today at 4 and the doc said the baby's head is still engaged and really low down in my pelvis so i'm relieved. the stuff on the left side is all shoulders and back and bum. she said i'm gonna have a pretty big baby. i also passed my .g.b.s so i'm negative and won't need the antibiotics. my doc said she was so happy for me that i passed all of my screenings because i went through enough with the surgery. she also said i am one of her favourite patients because i never complain lol. she had just told me that she wouldn't be inducing me unless i got to 42 weeks and i said that's okay i don't mind waiting. she said i was the first person today that didn't complain about being pregnant. i never get a chance to though because the appointments are always so rushed! Laughing i guess it's good that i can come here and complain so i don't need to bother her. anyway, it was all good news so i'm really happy now!!
