How's it going everybody?

This doesn't really have anything to do with acne, but bear with me please.

Anyways, I got a significant cut under my eyebrow that required 6 stitches and a small cut under my eye sockets. It's been a month already and there is still a very visible scar (the doctors told me there shouldn't be much scarring). Is this normal and is it a long healing process?

Also, what can I do to heal the process and prevent noticable scarring?
