Last may, I started having occasional dizzy spells while working in the garden. In late may, I began having heart palpatations. After working with my gp and a cardiologist, we decided probable causes were not enough sleep, and too much caffiene (made sense), and over-training (i run about 20-30 miles per week when I feel good). I started getting better after addressing those causes.
In late july, I came down with a really good cold and possible sinus infection. We had a pretty hard time getting rid of it...Several rounds of antibiotics. Symptoms during this time included ache in the left temple and lightheadedness. We attributed the lightheadedness to my balance being screwed up. This continued on and off until early october.
In october, I started feeling whoozy during the day, to the point where I had to sit down. It seemed to get worse with anerobic exertion, like carrying my child around. Other times i'd feel weak, have a slight sore throat, discomfort around my left eye, discomfort in the area connecting my legs and groin, and vision in left eye was slightly out of focus once in a while. Also, my hands and feet feel slightly weak and tight. Occasionally, my head would just be cloudy and i'd have a really hard time concentrating. We consulted a neurologist and had cts of my entire upper body done. We came up with nothing. The only suggestion from my gp was stress. The symptoms finally subsided in december.
I felt great from late december through mid-february. The only weird thing is that I started noticing more "floaters" in my left eye. Other than that I felt fabulous. In mid feb, I started coming down with a cold. After about a week with the cold, all my symptoms from october slowly began to return. I've seen my gp again and i'm on antibiotics again. I sleep fine and feel great lying in bed...But once I get up I get a dull headache. The other weird thing is that my pulse seems much more noticable (like when I sit back with my arms up and clasp my hands behind my head...I can feel my pulse through my arms).
My gps initial concern in october was possible ms, but the neurologist didn't think so. I'm worried that both periods of symptoms seemed to have followed a viral infection. I also feel like a constant complainer because my gp can't find anything wrong with me...But I feel like something is wrong.
Can anyone help?
