Q: Sore Acne On Right Side of Body

My husband get a sore(starts out red, then weeps, after 2 weeks leaves a scare) only one at a time one his knee, hip, cheek or head and only on the right side of the body. Any idea what this is? It has been going on for over 2 years. His doctor gave him some cream but it still lasts 2 weeks and leaves a scare.
