I hate to say this at your age but the answer is no you shouldn't because you have a damaged pancreas if you do, do it in very i mean very moderation 1 maybe 2 beers and take the enzymes ps your still to young to drink

Alcohol is sometimes the cause of pancreatitus but also there are others, you and i are the same i had a bile dict problem. but alcohol makes the pancreas work harder than anything you ingest you may not have a problem now but is damage is done to the pancreas it may not produce ennough enymes to break down the alcohol which will cause an acute attach which will cause the pancreas enxymes to stay trapped in the pancreas itself and start digesting itself it kind of like a viscous circle. my suggestion is if your on enzymes take them at the time if drink and head caution when your young try not to over do it. good luck and be well

PANCREATITUS AND BOOZE
I too, have chronic pancreatitis. My problems developed in 1996; for a while, I had a terrible time with it. Since then I have been diagnosed with autoimmune pancreatitis. In those days, there was no diagnosis for autoimmune pancreatitis. Has your doc mentioned this diagnosis for you? Back then, pancreatitis was purely associated with alcoholism or post-op problems. My problems have tapered off. I take a drink of wine on occasion and it does not bother me. Your problems too, may taper off over time. Until then, and only if your doc agrees, STAY AWAY from it! Believe me, if you drink now, your body will PUNISH you. The flare-up will be excruciating. Take it from someone who knows. For years, I could not eat anything with fat in it or heavy spices with flaring up. Be patient and be careful.
