Can anyone or will anyone answer me? I had my gallbladder out last week. Several times since then, after eating certain foods and certain amounts of food, I have had the feeling inside of me around my sternum, up toward my throat of someone blowing up a balloon and then delfating it and at certain times, there has been an ache to the left of my belly button and under my left breast at my rib cage and at times in the right side under my breast. The diahrea(sp) is there after I eat, though I have had some soft stools. But not immediately after I eat. I am going back for post op appointments Tuesday and Friday. It is dairy products, a carbonated drink, fresh fruit and hamburger and french fries that caused the pain and I drank some peppermint tea. So, what do you think?

I am not quite sure what to make of it. I would reccommend not eating foods that are high in fat for a little while.

Gallbladder Recovery
They said it was the gas that they pumped in. Well, that feeling I wrote about is gone. I am just watching what I eat. Sometimes, around my sternum, there feels like a pressure there, and when I belch there is some relief. So, I am sure in time this will get better.

Can someone tell me how long it takes to recover?

It takes about 6 weeks to recover from surgery.
