Teen Pregnancy Answer A3087
You can’t get pregnant if you get your period the next day after the sexual intercourse. If you get your period all sexual intercourse before the period becomes irrelevant and could not cause pregnancy. A new cycle begins with a new menstrual period. Sexual intercourse after a menstrual period can cause pregnancy, though. Sexual intercourse during a menstrual period usually can’t cause pregnancy except if your cycle is very short (21 days).
