Forgetting that I'm a girl, my boyfriend placed his arms around me (right under my breast) and squeezed very hard and tightly. I heard a crack and immeadiately felt pain. The pain subsided in a few minutes but never fully went away. It's been exactly 1 week and the pain has gotten worse everyday. It hurts when I move certain ways. It hurts when I lean against something. It hurts when I carry something heavy. And it especially hurts when I press down directly under my right breast. I don't have health insurance so I can't go to a doctor without having to pay lots of $$$. Is my rib fractured or broken? Or is it just bruised? Or could it be dislocated? What are the different symptoms?? Please help me I'm in pain.

Fractured Ribs

helloraquel, My husband recently did the exact same thing to me. I went to the doctor and the xrays showed a couple of fractures in my sternum (right in the middle) and a fractured rib right under breast. There is nothing the doctors can do for this, told me basically to tough it out. Anti-inflamatories help the most.
