'A jeep has driven into the terminal building at Glasgow airport and caught fire, police have confirmed.
Witnesses reported hearing a series of loud "bangs" and saw at least two men - one of whom was on fire - emerge from the vehicle.

It is thought a Cherokee 4x4 smashed into a glass door at the airport, the busiest in Scotland.

Witnesses said people removed gas cylinders from the jeep before it caught fire.

Police say it is too early to say whether the incident - which comes after failed car bomb attacks in London - was related to terrorism.

Police, fire crews and ambulances are at the scene.'

From sky news website

'Police confirmed 3 people arrested after car driven into glasgow airport'

Confused

Update

Police confirmed 2 people have been arrested, not 3.
The hospital, where one of the asian men from inside the car who was on fire was taken to for treatment, is being evacuated.
Armed police have closed off vehicle access to several airports in the uk and suspended flights.
The Prime minister is having a meeting with the countries emergency committee 'cobra' in a short while.
Bollards prevented the car driving any further into the airport.
Now being viewed as a terrorist attack.
Its been on the american news also.

I wonder if it's all tied in with .Salman .Rushdie getting a knighthood or if it's because the anniversary of the 7/7 bombings is coming up?

Scary stuff.

It is scary. 3 attacks in 24 hours.
The government have just raised the national security alert level to 'critical' which is the highest level.
'Critical' means an attack is expected 'imminently'.

So they think something else is going to happen? Shocked

Just editing this because they have confirmed they - are expecting another attack imminently.

Another update

Police news conference said the suspect taken to hospital after being engulfed in flames is in a critical condition suffering from severe burns. The hospital has been evacuated because 'the suspect was found to be wearing a suspicious device', 'suspcious device found at hospital'. (not sure if they mean 1 device there or 2)

Airport attack has been linked to London attack yesterday.

The other suspect was seen throwing petrol over the car already on fire, and tried to get it further into the airport. He tried to fight police and is now being held at the place for terror suspects.

USA airports have increased security too.
The uk remains on the highest level of security, 'more attacks are expected'.

I think about that every day. I think these terrorists should go to a secluded island and have their way with themselves.
