Hey there,
Im new to this site,im just wondering if your ears have a certain amount of normal activity happening all the time espesially when it is quiet or is this noise considered tinittus?I've heard of alot of people say it is normal but i guess i want to know where the line is drawn between normal and tinittus if there is in fact a line. The noise is if you've come out of a loud evironment but on a much duller scale. If anyone has any answers please can you let me know im kind of desperate for some answers.....thanks in advance..

I'm not really sure what you are asking. Are you wondering if it's normal to have ringing of the ears?

If so, no it's not normal to have that constantly but I know people that do have it. All I can say is to ask your doctor about it if you're worried.

i think what im trying to ask is in a quiet room can people who don't have tinnitus still hear certain noise in there ears if the pay attention to it.I have been told that ears conduct noise always but its whether we choose to cncentrate on it or not...I have a low noise in my ears generaly hear it when its quiet, but its been there forever and have been told its normal and that i have o.c.d as i focus on it to much??Sorry i hope im making some sense it's a bit of a different question to most.If anyone knows anthing about it i like to hear from you Smile thanks
