Hello! Last month I missed the last four
active pills of my last week of active
birth control pills after having sex with
my boyfriend. Could I possibly become
pregnant? I've been taking my actives for
this month, but I would like some
feedback. Thanks!

Yes, you could be pregnant. I'm surprised
you didn't start your period during those
missed pills, especially if they were all
in a row. I missed two during my final
week once, and I got really crampy!
Missing 2 or more pills means you could
have ovulated, which means you could be
pregnant. I know that's not exactly
comforting, but it's the truth.

If you don't take your pills as they were
intended to be taken, naturally, it
decreases their effectiveness.
You should be taking them every day and at
the same time every day. If you forget a
few days in a row, you should probably use
a backup method.
