the medication is called metformin.... it is a insulin sensatizing medication. Some women with pcos are insulin resistant and it treats it. Also what is good is to adapt to a modified diet program similar to one for diabetics or another exaple is the south beach diet as well.
I was diagnosed with pcos last year and up until last week i was pregnant, although i lost it in miscarrage ( at 9 weeks) there is hope for pregnancy... it just takes us a little bit more.
a bit of advise... keep good record of your cycles. when they start, how long they last for and if you are good to remember that then move onto temp charting with a bbt (basal body temp) thermometer
Ovulex is an herbal suppliment that contains some herbs that are NOT safe (black cohash) to take during pregnancy... I was roused into purchasing it when we first thought i had pcos and it made me feel like crap to be hones and I was out a whole lotta money. I did take it for the three months and nothing.. what did help was working with my gyn who works with women with pcos. and changing my eating habits.
