Q: Omg Abortion Clinic Is Booked!!

help!! just found out im pregnant yesterday...i am about 5 weeks along i think. (i already have a 1 year old with my ex and we had a brief reconcilliation where he acted like he wanted us to work out....) i called the north chicago planned parenthood. a medical abortion can be done under 8 weeks. cost is about $400. but they are booked until july 11th!! so if i go, i will have to do the surgical abortion...i am terrified of that, and anesthesia. and its $465!! this just doesnt seem fair. there are no other clinics in my area that do abortions. feedback? Sad

ok so i just called an abortion hotline and found some places wtih openings. im still terified though Confused

Please try and not be terrified.

Surgical abortion is WAY less painful than medical abortion, because they can sedate you.

I had surgical with sedation, and totally recommend it!

PP is good, but other aboriton providers tend to offer better services like painless abortions, and they can get you in mroe quickly.

OH no.

Medical abortion is an INDUCED miscarriage.

You take a medication that induces Contractions, these labor type contractions happen over about 4-8 hours, and you expel the pregnancy then.

Medical abortion is way more painful, at least in my experience.

You are put to sleep for surgical abortion, unless you choose PP or another provider that does not offer it, and it is done in 3-5 minutes.
