Hello I am glad that I found your post since we had the same experience. I am currently 19 years old but I was 18 when I had an IUD (paragard) inserted. I had it for a year and I love it! I had no problems with it and I had no side effects. I am nulliparous (never had kids and never been pregnant) and I had an IUD inserted successfully and like what I've said before it is the best birth control for me. I'm glad that you are interested about this bc. May I ask where do you live. I live in San Diego CA and I had an IUD inserted w/o problems in my local planned parenthood clinic. You see, as a young and nulliparous woman, it might be hard for you to find a doctor that will be willing to insert an IUD. Because some doctors are not comfortable inserting it to young adults who never had children. But still, if you are persistent you will find a doctor who will. If you need more information about this, you can go to

. This website is very informative about this BC option and it has all the new updated information about copper IUD's. If you have more questions, you can go ahead and send a private message. I will reply as soon as I can. Good luck;-)
