I went from 20 mg of Paxil to 10 mg last October 2006 but was unable to cut any lower due to bad withdrawl and constant crying unfortunatly I had to go back to work from having the week off.
I have been on 10mg ever since. I have decided to get off Paxil as I cannot put up with the weight gain, No emotions and my sex drive has gotten to the point I don't even want my husband to touch me at all.
I asked my doctor for help as if I even miss one pill by mistake I am filled with head zaps and dizziness.
What she suggested I do was cut off the Paxil for three days and start on 150 mg of Wellbutrin SR for three days and increase it to 300 mg a day after that.
I was unable to go past the 2 day of no paxil and the withdrawl kicked in badly so I called the pharmacist and he said it was okay to start the WEllbutrin now to help with the W/D effects. I am now on day 2 of 150mg of Wellbutrin and have been okay but I am starting to feel agitated and snappy at people to much and I could just ball my eyes out!
My question is should I have stayed on the Paxil for a few more weeks untill my system is used to the Wellbutrin then stop it? Also when I move up to the 300 mg of Wellbutrin do I take both of them in the morning at the same time as I heard if you take it to late you will not be able to sleep?
