I recently found out I have hpv and I have
so many questions and haven't been able to
get answers through the research I have
done.
If I got it from my partner am I putting
myself at greater risk if we continue to
have sex?
I plan to marry and have children with
him, what do we do?
I understand that he may have given it to
me and may have not cheated or vice- versa
but how do you ease this situation?
Any and all answers or suggestions are
greatly appreciated.

Ephanyone............You say that you were
diagnosed with hpv. My question is, do
you suffer with the genital warts that are
usually associated with it??

He could have been infected before and
didn't know. Some people do not get the
warts from it for years or ever. Or, if
you were active before him, you also could
have infected him. But, you also do not
want to rule out the idea of cheating.
(if there are obvious signs or something.)
I am not saying to assume that he is at
all, just dont block it out completely
unless you are completely sure. It
really shouldn't put you at a health risk
to continue to have sex with him because
you are both already infected. Have you
both been tested? How about testing for
other stds? I would both definately do
that before you do anything. Now if one
of you has a breakout of warts then I
would use protection so that they do not
spread to the other. (i hope that made
sense) since I am sure they are probably
annoying. As for having children, maybe
someone else can answer that. I dont
think there would be any complications
from hpv, but I really do not know.
