Ok what do you girls think? I know there is a lot of people out there who have no one to look after their children so they can spend some quality time with their partners etc and who can't afford to pay for a babysitter.

I have heard of it somewhere before but I can't remember where but I was thinking of setting up a group in my local area where parents can take it in turns to look after eachothers kids for equal amounts of time.

For example:- say suzie wants to go out with her husband she can get to know jenny and jenny can mind her kid (s) for a few hours either at her house or at suzies house. Then, the following week suzie can look after jennys kid(s) for an equal amount of time.

It's a win-win situation. I want to organise a weekly group where all the parents can meet up and get to know each other so they can build friendships.

Obviously there is the issue of whether the parents are trustable and I don't know how to get round that yet

any suggestions please?

This is called a co-op and it works in a lot of areas. Good luck!

The best way is to start off with a mom/dad you know. Then ask them to add one in and so on. That's what we did.

I know they have co-ops in some areas. Since your asking, they probably have them in England. I have yet to find one where I moved to. I hope you find one, I heard they are great. Paying for a sitter stinks!

i think thats a good idea, me and my friend brandy did that, we watched eachother kids for free, took turns but i dont really know other moms besides her. but it worked out good, as long as they are specific as to when theyre pickin their children up etc.
