She might be a little disappointed if you don't visit her, but it's not the end of the world. If she's a nice girl, then she'll understand. Some people just don't have that kind of time or money. So I would say go if you want to, but don't go because you feel obligated to.

for $300, thats like the cheapest and best vacation ever. shes on the beach and is right near scuba diving and canoeing and malls and stuff, but honestly i dont really care about that, the only reason i would go it to see her, and $300 seems kinda steep to just see her when i will in another month and a half. what do you guys think, should i make time and visit her? or should i save my money and make her get all sad and angry at me?

doesn't sound like you really have something for her although you did things right at first (took things slowly etc.) so why give her false hope? not saying anything bad about you but anyone who cares wouldn't wait until the other person asks to go and visit them if they're far away. i say don't do it but don't lie to her about it either. show her that you have your own problems and you need to deal with those right now. also she might have asked you to come there because it's the right thing to do or because she doesn't mind it or because she's simply bored. it doesn't mean she's madly in love with you or anything. from your side, $300 for a guy these days is nothing compared to what they spend on their toys. so if you feel it's a big amount of money it only means that you truly don't want her to be your first priority.

wow,that was waaaaaaaaaaaay out in left field there hun. $300 is not spent on toys.Mabye your rich but not everyone else is.I have 2 jobs and $300 is *not* pocket change.Because he doesn't have the money doesn't mean he's making excuses not to see her or that he doesn't love her much.People have bills to pay and it's hard to save up $$$.And have you thought that the reason she wants him there is because she misses him and not just because she's bored? And i'm also sure that if he didn't like her enough to stay with her through this time in their relationship he would have broken it off already

to the original poster,if you are already going to see her in a month or so,tell her that you would love to come see her sooner but you have bills to pay and you want to save money so you have it when you do get down there.I'm sure she just misses you very much and can't wait to see you! Yeah i dont think money is an "excuse" i met my boyfriend in April, Feb i had already planned a trip to Vegas. I wanted him to go soo bad with me. I tried to find a way to afford a ticket for him. then all he would need is spending money. His family even tried to find a way. but then talking to him, he didnt have much spending money and also too he was taking a week in july to see his parents so to take another week that would be unpaid he couldnt afford it. yes i was very sad and dissapointed but u know what in the end the week away when i come home i was all over him i couldnt believe how much i had missed him. things require money and sometimes we dotn have money just to drop at a dime. Im sure if u explain to her how u just cant right now, im sure if she cares that much about you like i did my boyfriend she will understand. personally if she make a big stink about it screw her than on top of it you just startede "dating" . i know the "screw her" was harsh, but really if she cant understand u dont haev the cash right now, i would be scared to see way she acts other things

thanks for the advice guys, i dont know what to do i miss her. now shes gotta help a relative work on their house starting on the 16th, then shes getting a part time job and training for soemthing, so shell be realy busy after that.

i found really cheap tickets too, like $155 the $45 tax roundtrip. but its from the 11th to 18th, which cant work. i tried like the 11-16, 12-16, 10-16, etc. cheapest one i could find was like $350. i dont wana pay that for even less time.

maybe if you try and take the trip a month later it will be more affordable?I'm going to louisiana in a month or so and I look at what day in the week I go (usually middle of the week is cheaper) and what time of day (between 12 and 4 am are the cheapest flights) things like that help a lot!

yeah maybe a later date would work. booking a trip with less than a month advance can be pricie. My trip to vegas i booked in feb for like 205 roundtrip, when i looked in april for my bf to come along it sky rocketed to like 400 bucks round trip!
