Q: Low Income Housing

for some reason, i can't find any info online for low income housing stuff. so if anyone can find a site for me or something, that'd be awesome.

we're getting a little desperate. the air in the trailer is broken, & it'll cost $500 to fix it. & .we really do not have that kind of money. chris's dad offered to put in a window unit in our living room next weekend.. so that's good, i guess. but we're just struggling really bad. we just found out today that .chris somehow overdrew his account, so now we're negative $220, & we owe soo much money to so many things. we had a huge fight with my parents & we're not really allowed to stay the night here at their house anymore. & .frankly, we really don't want to. it's such a negative vibe here, i can't deal with it. i have no idea where we're staying tonight 'cause we have nowhere to go & we can't go home because it's 100 degrees in there..

i'm just kind of at a breaking point.

i have no idea what i am doing anymore.

try "craigslist.com"

I'm sorry you're having a rough time. believe me, I know what it's like to have your place not cooperate! Crying or Very sad

Let me tell you something...window units are a life saver!!! We have 3 in our house!!! One for the living area, one for our room and one for .oni's!

I promise they get the place *just* as cold, if not colder, than certral a/c!

2 of them are $350 units(paid for by the landlord) and the other one is a $150...and blows icicles!!

our landlord doesn't pay for stuff like that. we have to pay for it ourselves. but .chris's dad said he'll get us one. i don't know. it's just such a huge mess.

Section 8 housing. Get on a list now. In most areas it takes years to get into a place.

Good luck!

I dont know how to help because im in the uk. Just wanted to say I know how you feel having no where to live. When I was 16 and 7 months pregnant by parents kicked me out their house.
A women heard about it and said I could move in with her which I didnt want because I didnt know her, she seemed to be in a really messy situation herself, and I would have been taken off the priority housing list.
So I ended up staying in a room at a shelter. Luckily it was close to my parents house so I went there every day and just used the shelter for the nights. After jay was born my parents let us stay with them for the first 2 weeks, then we were back at the shelter for a year until we finally got a government housing project apartment. (thats what you call them in america) it took that long even though the whole time we were classed as homeless on the list Shocked
Do you have any friends who you could live with for a while, or friends of your parents? what about your grandparents, aunt or uncle? Family should help out in these situations imo. What do your parents expect you to do, live in a car or on the street with a baby? Confused
