Blood On Tissue Posted: 06-26-07 15:58pm
For the last five or six weeks, I have
been having trouble with my bowel
movements. It hurts quite badly, like
trying to pass glass. Afterwards, there's
bright red blood on the tissue. The blood,
however, is definetely NOT in the stool.
This went on for awhile and I find that
the pain has slowly been going away,
however my bowel movements are less
frequent then they were. Maybe once a day
and I also have a weird, dull, pain in the
lower right part of my buttocks. It
doesn't hurt really, more like an annoying
sensation, like a throbbing. It feels
somewhat like a charlie horse and
sometimes I can even feel the pain in the
upper portion of my leg. I find when I
stretch it out, it feels better. Has
anyone ever experienced this? I think I
could possibly be paranoid as my aunt was
just diagnosed with bowel cancer. Any
information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I am not sure about the upper leg pain,
but as far as the blood on the tissue and
feeling like you are passing glass, it
sounds like hemmorids to me.
I went to the doc with the same symptoms
about 2 years ago and he told me to eat
more fruits and veggies (more fiber makes
it easier to go) and to get some
Preperation H cream. Both really helped.

It definitely sounds like hemmeroids! Have
you taken yourself to a doctor yet? That
would be a good first step.

Helps tremendously to make you have a bowl
movement regularily.
I think it helps in digestion too.
BUT....I was taking it because I had
occassional drinking binges and Milk
Thistle is known to be a "liver repairer.
All this unfortunately I learned by
researching liver failure when my most
favorite person in the world died.
Live and Learn!
I've been out of it for a week or so and
now that I think of it have not been
happy.
