Last month I took a pregnancy test about ten days before my period was due and it was a very faint positive (i read it within the allotted time according to the directions). Two days later, it was negative, two days later it was negative. Then, I missed my period and took another test- it was positive. (again, I read the test results according to directions). Eleven days later (almost two weeks after my period was due and two positive tests later), I started to bleed. That lasted about four days, and another negative test. Blood work from my doctor's office says there was no pregnancy hormones in my blood test. What's going on??? I thought you only got a positive test if you were really pregnant. I've never ever heard of a false postive when results were read according to directions- plus I was almost two weeks late getting a period! Thanks for any insights!
