Abdominal Fluttering And Gurgling
Posted: 06-26-07 00:13am

hi everyone! I have a really odd digestive system (thanks DAD). anyway, for the past 2 days I have had odd abdominal feelings. These consist of constant fluttering and gurgling. Does anyone know what this may be considering it has lasted so long? My bowel movements seem pretty normal so I'm kind of worried. I'm only 17 and it just seems so young for me to be having digestive problems (if thats indeed what they are).

Have you eaten anything odd in the last few days? Have you increased your fruit? The reason I ask is that when you combine melons with something solid and not eating them on an empty stomach they start to ferment in the stomach. The process is that melons take longer to digest so if you decide to eat them it should be on an empty stomach and then you need to wait 2-3 hours before eating something solid. It gives the melons time to digest and not mix in with anything else. Just something that could cause the gurgling. Another thing it could be is that you picked up a bacteria that is creating havoc in your stomach. After a few days if you are still suffering go have a doctor check it out or even a good naturopath. Let us know what you find out. Good luck.

I wouldn't quote me on this, but I read something on WebMD that might help you.

I had the same problem that happened to me every once and a while but hasn't in awhile.

Gurgling in the stomach can be a symptom of lactose intolerance.

Try eating ice cream or some other dairy product and if you have the same experience, that might be why.

Bubble And Squeaking Stomach Noise
Posted: 08-08-07 17:58pm

It's such a relief to find that I'm not some freak case that no other person has heard of with these problems. I have tried EVERY gas pill offered over the counter. I've tried everything on the anti-gas isle at the health food store too; Acidophilus, aloe vera juice, and activated charcoal. I tried Reglan from my Dr.. It was supposed to speed up the digestion process. Problem is everytime I thing these things are working the embarrassing gas noises come back. I've had a colonoscopy and was told nothing was found. I found out I was lactose intolorent, so I cut out all dairy and started drinking lactaid - but this hasn't helped the problem. I spend too much money at the health food store buying the organic bread and eating all natural turkey meat. I basically live on turkey sandwiches for breakfast, lunch and dinner just so my stomach won't embarrass me at work. I bought pills from the acupuncture store which didn't help either. My noises seem to be on the left side also (wierd). I have absolutely no social life just to avoid embarrassment. I will forward this web site to as many medical research schools to show that this isn't just a minor case problem - all the best to all of you!!

May Have Help for Noisy Stomach
Posted: 05-22-08 19:49pm

Hey everyone, well I've been out of the picture for a while cause I hadn't found anything to help me with my noisy abdomen, but recently I ate some Stoneyfarm Organic Yogurt and it worked like a charm for me and my friend. Not sure if it's a long term solution, but it can't hurt to try good luck.
