I am 16 years old and uncircumcised and I recently discovered that my frenulum is too short (a condition known as Frenulum Breve). I finally saw a urologist and he agreed that something needed to be done about it. He said that I need either a frenuloplasty, which would leave the foreskin intact, or a full circumcision. He asures me that a circumcision at this age is no problem, and is what he recomends. I am leaning towards getting a full circumcision since I figure if I need do something, instead of going halfway with a frenuloplasty, why not just get a full circumcision? Its also slightly a matter of preference.

Sorry for taking so long, but my actual question is is there anyone who has recently been circumcised at my age or a few years later? My doctor assures me that it is a simple procedue with at most a ten day recovery period. Is this true? Is there any long lasting pain or other problems? I am a little concerned because it would be rather late in my life. Are their any side effects or scarring? Please, would greatly appreciate a response soon. I need to make a decision relatively soon.
