Q: Hot flashes during times of stress

I'am wondering why at time of stress I get this feeling of euphoria that last for a very short time seconds, shortly following that a feeling or dread,then I feel like I'm very hot.but no temp. this happens often.I can almost always feel this coming just seconds befour it happends.I struggle to try and figure out why this happens and what I can do to stop this.I'm seeing a therapist for abuse as a child by a family friend.Can you tell me why this happens?and what this is ???please help.

Hot flashes and emotional feelings could be due to the peri-menopause that you are probably experiencing right now. Hormonal imbalance of the sex hormones due to menopause can cause the symptoms you describe. You can visit your gynecologist for an expert opinion. If these symptoms are due to menopause, they should pass spontaneously although medical help is sometimes requested.
