I get these weird things too. However, i'm sorry I can't help you. I was told mine was probably anxiety, and I was put on paxil, but I don't beleive that crap, so I only took the paxil for a month, and it didn't seem to be helping (not that I was having the feelings anymore) but I still panicked about things. I started by having the left side of my lip go numb when I was 15 and then it moved down my left arm (i didn't go blurry) but I was rushed to the hospital, and they told me that it was possibly a seisure, but it couldn't have been, I was walking and never lost consciousness. (i dont' have epilepsy either). It kept happening, but I figured y go to the doc, he's not going to know what is wrong, I had an eeg done and it just said I was awake, but drowsy (that's me, lol!)

in may of last year, I nearly passed out at work, once again going numb, but this time my vision was effected. I spent a couple hours at one hospital, and they told me I was fine after doing a ct-scan. I was released, still numb and blurry (because my vitals were fine). The next day it got worse so I went to another hospital. There they told me that my white blood cells were up, so I got emitted. I stayed there for 6 days (had 2 mris', a ct-scan, and 2 eeg's done, and still...Nothing. Once again they told me it could have been a seisure, but I didn't lose consciousness. They wanted to send cultures into my shunt ( I have one from my head to my abdomen from having hydrocypholis when I was born) and record them, but my grandmother talked me out of it. And luckily she did. I called the hospital that had put it in, when she had advised me to, and they told me that it wouldn't be good because it had stopped functioning years ago. Had they done it I could have died. So I left.

I still get these, on and off, but I think I have figured out what it is. But I am no doc, so I can just tell ya what I think my prob is. I go a while without eating because I feel bad about my body, and it seems to link to my sugar. When I stay on a proper diet I seem to be ok. But hey what do I know!?!

Do you have any diet problems, but if you do, maybe we can figure this out.

Are you talking about ephederine? I was just told to stay away from caffeine which works, but I just think that I have to keep my foods up and i'll be okay. Maybe the caffeine burns the food too fast, but I dont' know. I'm just tired of feeling like this. I always thought doctors could fix ya, but I was wrong.

Do you have messanger?

Numb Tongue
Just responding to your problem with numb tongue. Do you have pain on the tongue, or anywhere else when having this problem? I've had panic attacks but never had a numb tongue, maybe upper arms and legs. I recently discovered that I have a nerve in my brain that has the covering coming off therefore causing numbness and pain. I have this pain on one side of tongue, throat, ear. All along thought it could be anxiety but will now be having surgery to fix it. Mine began as sharp pain with numbness. Have you noticed if you have a gag reflex on both sides of throat, because I do not. Just gag reflex on side where I don't have pain and numbness. I do get blurred vision, but always when I get a migrane only! Weird though I have no more anxiety. Sounds like you just might keep check on it. Have you been to dentist that numbed your mouth more than usual since this began? Questions to think about, I just woke up from hysterectomy with my symptoms, so they are unsure if a mild stroke caused this or not. Not sure? Good luck and god bless!!

Skipper,
sorry you had another fit. I find myself numb today on the tip of my tongue, my left eye and the left side of my neck. Once again, I really haven't eaten anything and it is 11:15am (i had one krispy kreme donut) so I think this is my prob, but who knows. May I ask how old you are?
