I mean if you have an intercourse in the last days of your period, is it possible to get pregnant?
I've just been feeling weird the last few days. It feels like cramps but I am not due for my period yet. I get hot all of a sudden, am incredibly sleepy, and things hurt down there. I don't have much of an appetite and have been a little nausaeus.
The chances of me getting pregnant should be v. small because my BF practices the withdrawal method. I always wondered though if he doesn't take a shower afterwards and we have sex again, if that would matter?
While it is possible to get pregnant during your period, it is highly unlikely. But, you should test to be sure. Also, with the pain you are having I would recommend going to see you gyn to make sure there is nothing serious going on.
Yes, you certainly can get pregnant if you have sex before, during, or after your period. That's because women don't always ovulate when they are "supposed" to, and because sperm can live for up to about five days inside the vagina.
The withdrawal or pull out method is unreliable, and is not considered a "real" form of birth control. So if that has been your only "method of protection", you've basically been having unprotected sex all along.
The only way to know if you are pregnant is to take a pregnancy test. In the future, if you do not want to get pregnant, invest in an actual form of birth control.
