High Blood Pressure and Hypertension Forum - Sometimes When I Stand Up My Pressure Goes to 160/90

I take my bloodpressure often and for the most part its around 123/84 but, somtimes if I stand up, my heart starts thumping really hard and I can feel it. I will sit down and take my blood pressure and it will be 160 or 170 over 85/90... does anyone know why it would do that? Its scaring me....

Chris,
I think that's like labile hypertension, where your BP suddenly spikes. I hear the resperate is great for that!
