Painful Bumps That Feel Like Cuts On My Pubic Area!!!!!!!! Posted: 06-22-07 09:56am
Hi there,
I've been on this forum before back in
February because of a UTI and I thought it
could have been herpes due to a large
blister I got on my left butt cheek at the
same time, but i got tested and the
doctors insist it was just a UTI. Now a
few months later I get what i thought was
a simple case of razor burn on my pubic
area but on one section I got three large
bumps which at first just itched but
eventually felt like cuts, they became
painful. They are not balls, don't look
like pimples and there has been no liquid,
they were more long and swollen, now this
morning they kind of bunched together and
now it looks like a small irritated area
with tiny bumps. It still hurts and I have
had ingrown hairs and razor burn before
but never like this. Now, I already
scheduled an appointment with my doctor so
I am not looking for a diagnosis just
maybe ideas on what this could be, because
to me it seems like a recurring herpes
outbreak. Although my docs say my
previous incident was just a UTI I have
also read that herpes is very often
misdiagnosed as a UTI. any comments or
thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, sorry you have been going through
so much. Beleive me I know how it is. Do
the sores look like little white heads or
do they look like a popped pimple? You
know after you pop a real big one and
their is a layer of skin underneat that
hurts and
bleeds and burns? I know gross, but these
are real questions?
Also did you get a blood test for Herpes
simplex viris 2? Sometimes a culture can
come up negative and the only fool proof
way to know is by a blood test.
