OK here is the thing. Bebe due Jan 31, apartment lease up Jan 31 (just my luck. Should we just go ahead and try to buy a house and move a month before and be done with it or should we just wait and renew the lease for 6 more months.

I would say that if you are comfortable and happy where you are then renew it but if you want to have the security of having your own home when the baby arrives then buy a house, but just remeber that moving when you're pregnant will be tough, my sister moved into her place exactly a month before her son was born and it exhausted her

to be honest we are running out of room where we are at. I would prefer to buy a month before I am due, but that will put a cramp into the holidays. DH wants to stay another 6 months, but i HATE the management and we have had nothing but problems with the water company. I am truly sick of this place. I just don;t know how to tell DH.

I think it's more a matter of personal preference on whether you like renting or not. Before I met my husband, I rented a small house. I absolutely hated renting. I could never get a hold of my landlord when something needed fixed.
It's so much nicer now that we own a home. If something breaks, we can fix it ourselves (depending on what it is) and not have to wait for someone. If we want to paint or change something about the house, we can just do it and not have to get permission from a landlord first.

Buy, buy, buy! The rates are really low right now. Of course, it's like playing the stock market. You never know what's going to happen. We just bought and are moving into our new house this weekend!! Yep, I have a month to go. You really don't want to move while with a baby. There is nothing worse than feeling unsettled when you are expecting a little one. I wouldn't do that to yourself. The nesting thing is very very real. If you knew you would be renting for a longer period of time, had some debt you really needed to get paid down, didn't know where you really wanted to live or live in an area that is pretty expensive...then I would say wait. Sometimes it is better to wait because with baby, comes additional expenses. It all depends on your situation.

We were going to rent a few more months and use our lower rent to pay off our debts. We decided to buy because of the market right now (complete buyers market - antsy sellers), very low interest rates, and my insane nesting craze that I am currently experiencing! Plus, we haven't been that stable for a while and we really long for stability. Buying was the right move for us.

Good luck.

i have had an ongoing issue with our water company and them issuing estimate bills and a non envolvement policy from our property managers. I thought i finally got everything under controll (even envolved the better business bureau) and now it is happening again. I know we had decided to renew, (husband said he did not want to move a pregnant house) but after this problem i am not sure it would be wise to sink anymore money into this establishment

That is true! Moving is exhausting. Having had a baby already, it would be personally more exhausting moving after the baby is here. I really didn't get much sleep until my little one was 8 months old. I couldn't imagine moving at that time.

It will be exhausting because I will want to have everything ready before baby arrives. That will be close to impossible considering we have to unpack so much stuff!! I will probably die of exhaustion.
