Over the past few weeks, I have noticed that my forehead seems to be kinda 'bumpy'. If I put my hand over it, I can feel a couple minor protrusions and indents. In addition, the big vein that goes vertically through the middle of the forehead is now much more visible. Granted, I am a thin person and my veins show easily...but even in regular everyday situations you can slightly see the vein. I admit it isn't THAT bad, it's not like I look like a skeleton or anything but if I pointed it out to you it is definitely noticeable. It's also quite alarming to feel bumps and protrusions when you are running your fingers across your forhead...

I have no idea what the cause of this. The only explanation I can think of could be sun damage, cause I went to the tanning salon 4 or 5 times in the past month and a half - but I wasn't even in there very long and only once or twice was I even slightly red after the tanning. I also have been applying Benzoic Peroxide cream 4-5 times a week, which is extremely drying. However, for the most part I have been using adequate moisterizer. Plus, I have oily skin anyway so I'm not sure if that is contributing to the issue.

Is this permanent? Will applying 2% AHA help clear up the congestion in my forehead and stimulate skin growth? If not, is there a surgical procedure that can be done to add a thin layer of fat so my forehead isn't so bony? I'd really hate to use cosmetic surgery, but in this case this is more of a corrective procedure rather than enhancing a body part.

If the bumps you feel are hard, it's probably just the layout of the bones in your head. Your head is not perfectly round. There are going to be bumps where all the bones meet. And as far as the vein goes, many things can influence how visible it is like your level of hydration and activity. Don't worry about it. I am sure everything is ok.
