Hi there,
I'm 22 years old and have been bulimic for almost 10 years. I've been in counselling for 6. I've gone through periods of doing much better, but never recovered. I currently binge/purge at least once a day, often 2 or 3 times. I am considering residential treatment and I was wondering if anyone here has had any experiences with it? I've been in a residential facility for mental health issues before, but never for ED. Also, I live in Ontario, Canada....if anyone has any experiences to share, or knows how to go about finding a facility, I would greatly appreciate the input!
Thanks!

Hello. My name is Jess. your post caught my eye, because I'm from ontario as well. I've never been in an eating disorder residents either, but I have been in mental disorder ones. My councellor has been trying to get me to go to a few residential eating disorder clinics.. but I haven't. If you're interested, feel free to PM me and I'll get as much info as I can about them.
Take care!

There are a ton of different ones (specifically for ava_amour, because they're all in Ontario). If you visit their websites, it will give you a ton of other information about them. I have two friends who were both in inpatient eating disorder treatment centers, so let me know if you would like me to get their opinions and information about the programs, okay?
Good luck with everything =)
