Q: Throat Hurts

Yesterday my throat started hurting me so i thought i might be coming down with a cold. However, today when i took Cold Eeze (candies for a cold) it made my throat hurt even more. I decided to try some ice cream and that helped. I do not have a runny nose, sneezing, coughing or any symptoms of a cold. I looked in the mirror and i have white dots in my throat. i heard this can be a virus (not strep). is this true?

Extremely eHealthy

It's very possible to have a viral throat infection and it not be strep. I have had those plenty of times. Just increase your fluid intake and get some rest. Ice cream would definitely be soothing. If it gets worse or you notice anything different, I would call your doctor.
