Karifa is an oral contraceptive that contains a combination of synthetic estrogen and progesterone hormones (Ethinyl-estradiol and desogestrel). Karife is used in the same way as most other contraceptive pills. If the pack contains 28 pills, the last 7 pills are inactive and you should get your period while taking them.
It is really strange that you havenât gotten a period for 5 years. I am not sure that that is normal although is not causing you any problem. Contraceptive pills are made to block ovulation and prevent pregnancy but in a way that will simulate normal cycles with menstruation. You should ask for an expert opinion from a gynecologist and an endocrinologist for clarification on this issue and to pursue any possible diagnostic examinations.
