Q: Vaginal Discharge Odor

Recently, I have an vaginal odor. I don't feel any discomfort or itching, I keep clean as always but it's there all of a sudden since a few weeks ago.

It's just not... fresh/clean smelling discharge on my underwear liners. Which I always wear b/c I normally have discharge daily. (Is that normal?)

What could it be? What should I do? I don't like going to the gynecologist, does it sound like I should?

It is normal for women to have discharge. It is usually clear or white. You might notice your discharge changes a bit throughout the month as well.

Vaginas also have a smell. That's a normal sign of a healthy vagina. You can wash the outside of your vagina (the lips or labia), but you should not douche or do anything else to try to clean inside your vagina unless your doctor tells you to.

If you notice that your discharge gets really smelly all of a sudden and stays that way even when you shower, it could be a sign of infection, especially if you have redness, itching, green or yellow discharge, or discharge that looks like cottage cheese.

If you're concerned, go to your ob-gyn. I don't know anyone who really likes going, but sometimes we have to go.

Bv
i havent recently found that i have contracted Bacterial Vaginosis...its a condition that is found in the vaginal area thats syptoms include...irregular discharge and also a almost fishy smell that gets worse after intercourse.
I hadnt heard of it before and i just thought id post this to make u aware of it... its can be treated.. but there is no definate cure.
People i have read about having it online in forums like this have many different natural remedies for BV and i strongly suggest you research it and find out if this is what you have.
Bv is when the natural PH in the the vagina is unsettled and causes the good bacteria to be killed off my an owerflow of nasty bactiera.
BV is very common but strangly not known of buy many women.
I have also come to the conclusion that i havent go it as bad as other women and that people get it worse than others.
I have purchased a product from the internet called VagiClear which seems to have worked and taken away the smell.
Other ways to tackle it is to eat alot of probiotic yougurt and yougurt.... these products contain millions of live friendly bactiera that will hap to fight the infection.
Other method that i have researched are boric acid caspules, folic acid, probiotic capsules, cranberry juice, tea tree oil........ alothough alot of women find that the condition doesnt ever really go away for good all of these producs have worked on different women but its up to u to find the pnoe that works for ur own body.... i hope this helps u Smile
jenny xx Very Happy
