Ok. I was having off and on pregnancy
symptoms for like a month or so. Then my
breasts got really sore n I just thought
that was part of the symptoms. I thought I
knew for sure I was pregnant becuase I
wasn't having my period at all. Then all
the sudden my period pops up and it was
pretty normal for the most part, except
there was some clots like strips of blood.
I don't think it was a miscarriage. Please
help me out. I need someone that really
knows what they're talking about. thanx
alot

Are you on birth control?
Early pregnancy symptoms are very similar
to the symptoms of an oncoming period. So
that might be what you were feeling.
If your period was late, that could be the
result of many things including stress and
diet.
Clots in your menstrual fluid are also
normal. They might sort of chunky or kind
of stringy.
If you're still concerned, you could give
us more information or talk to your
ob-gyn. If it is possible that you had a
miscarriage, you should let your ob-gyn
know about it anyway.

Thank you very much. This is all so
confusing to me because when I first
thought I was pregnant I waited three wks
after I had sex to get a PT n that came
out inconclusive. I still wasn't having my
period ( I didn't have my period for
almost 2 months) and I was having pretty
much all the pregnancy symptoms so I
figured I was pregnant.... Now there's
another thing going on. See I'm still on
my period and for like the past 2 days it
was red like a normal period. Then this
morning it turned a really brown color, it
doesn't even really look like blood. I'm
still concerned about it. Can a pregnancy
test come out negative if I'm having my
"period"? If so how does that work? Oh and
no I'm not on any sort of birth control.

A period or bleeding does not affect a
pregnancy test.
Period blood can range from brown, to red,
pink, even blackish.
