Q: How In the World?
asked by: ladylee70 on June 19th, 2007
Extremely EHEALTHy
How in the world am I going to take care of a newborn, an almost four year old and myself? I didn't add two dogs and a husband.

When Nathan was born, I slept when he slept. I nursed every two hours for the first month or two. Nathan was such an easy going child until about six months ago. He doesn't nap and he is extremely talkative. He just doesn't stop. He is a great child but definitely high maintenance. When we go to "mommy events" he is the most talkative, social child by far. Other parents have even laughed (with me) about how talkative and social he is. Oh boy! How am I going to survive??

Anyone else have or had a child that was similar (loads of energy - doesn't nap) and then gave birth to another child?? Any tips? How in the world did you get your much needed naps in? Even if I try to sleep now for ten minutes while Nathan is watching a favorite movie, he usually has narrate almost everything that is happening. So...I rarely get those ten minutes.

So, if you had a child like mine and then gave birth, did you ever sleep? I will be going back to work about three to four weeks after I give birth only for two days a week. This is starting to make me nervous as I wonder how I will function. I guess I will go into mommy survival mode.

I got lucky and jordynnes a good night baby, joseph however was up all the time at night and didnt go to bed until 2am when i went back to work so it was horrid for a while. I thought i would be soooooooo tired when jordynne got here. But she takes a good nap in the afternoon at least 2 hrs. joseph naps sometimes but not all the time. But they both go to bed at 8pm now and jordynne wakes up at 4am to eat and sleeps until 8am and so does joseph so i get more sleep this time around. The first couple months will be hard and tiring but it does get easier Smile

Especially EHEALTHy
you'll survive and adapt cause you just have to. i didn't think i would cope with my two but it can't of been that bad as i would of had three under three if my second daughter didn't pass away.

my two nap at the same time for a few hours every day but nathan probably doesn't have naps any more does he? does he go to nursery? you can take naps when he gets to school i guess.

sorry i can't be more help Sad
