i am 8 weeks tomorrow and last night was the worst night i have had so far. Terriable and disturbing nightmares where i woke up crying or screaming. All to do with my family. This has never happened to me. I have heard that strange dreams are common, but are terriable nightmares?

I think they are pretty normal. I have had several throughout my pregnancy that have really freaked me out. I am 31 weeks along and still have them every once in a while.

thanks... i guess it just takes some getting used to. 7 more months to go. I guess just as soon as you get used to something it tapers off and something else starts. Never a dull moment.

there is deffinatly never a dull moment when you're pregnant! The dreams are horrible, i've had terrible ones abotu losign my baby, my boyfriend leaving me and just general horrible things to do with my family. the best advice i can give you about dreams is, no matter how real they seem just keep remindin gyourself that they're not real and it's not going to happen

You will be very hard pushed to find a pregnant woman who hasn't dreamt about those things atleast once, it's very very common. Oh man i would kill for strudel right now Laughing i should really quit eating food that's bad for me

i had a terrible nightmare last night that our house was getting ripped apart by a storm. i was screaming at the top of my lungs but i couldn't hear myself because the wind and thunder were so loud. i woke up and my guy said i was going "mmmmmmmm! mmmmmmm!" like i was screaming with my mouth closed lol. there was a thunder and lightning storm last night but it was nowhere near as bad as in my dream. i felt so bad for my little baby though with all the adrenaline pumping through my body from the dream. i'm sure the baby must not like that at all but what can you do? it just happens sometimes. maybe if you try talking about what your fears are while you are awake, there will be less chance of them playing out in your dreams. just an idea. you could always come here and vent about your worries and frustrations like most of us do.

i will probably post more often. you will just have to excuse my ranting and rambling. my job is going to change and DH travels a lot with his job. i'll rant about my job when i get home. I think it is bs what they are doing.

wow. bad dreams. there was a terrible storm here again last night. i was lying there listening to the thunder and watching the lightning. i told myself to just take a deep breath after each really bright lightning strike so that i wouldn't get startled when the thunder came. i didn't want to startle the baby. i always feel bad when i get those adrenaline rushes because i feel like it must freak the baby out too. so then i fell asleep and started dreaming that rich and i were sleeping in our basement. our living room is being renovated right now and he's been worried about me breathing the dust and stuff so we were sleeping in the basement. i know dreams don't really make sense but i thought it was real. so i'm lying there in my dream and he wakes up and says "there's something wrong with the air" and i immediately felt like i couldn't breathe right but i wasn't able to move. so we were both lying there knowing we had to get out of there but we were paralyzed. so i'm trying to scream or move or something but all i can do is go "mmmmm!!!!!". i guess i must have started doing that in my sleep cuz ruch started rubbing my arm and i could feel it and hear him saying "what's wrong?" but i couldn't move. finally i woke up and went "oh...oh my god...help me". lol. i must have scared him a bit. and my poor baby got that shot of adrenaline anyway. i told rich about the dream and he put his arm around me for a while.

then 5 minutes later he let out a big fart and said "(sniff) there's something wrong with the air in here!" Rolling Eyes Confused

I had a horrible dream last night, it upset me so much. Basically there's this girl i know who likes .Dom a little too much for my liking Laughing and in my dream i was teasing .Dom saying 'oh i bet you're cheating on me with her' and he turned around and said that he had been for seven months! I screamed at him to choose either her or me and .Mika and he chose her saying that he didn't care about me or .Mika Crying
or Very sad

I say that all the time now!!! Smile

Speaking of horrible dreams I have had them quite often. In fact, I had a way bizzare one lastnight!!! Freaked me out and I'm 32 weeks. So apparently, these dreams can last throughout the whole pregnancy!

Good luck with everything!
