Q: Pimple On Lip ...

I recently got a very small cut on my lip. The next day, there was a large pimple there. It popped in the shower, and now there is a small puckered sore area. This has happened to my lip before, and there is now a permanent mark (a raised area that looks like a tiny pimple on my lip - it is slightly darker in color than the rest of the lip) in the previous area.

How can I prevent this "pimple" from becoming permanent as well? I have been applying peroxide several times a day to clean it, but don't know what else to do...I would not like to have another strange mark on my lip...I am already self conscious about the first one Sad. It is a little strange-looking for a scar, but I suppose I could also apply some Neosporin in case?
