If you read your medication insert, it should tell you what to expect. Usually if you just miss one you are still okay but just to be sure you might want to use a condom for a few days.

You only missed one pill, and with your pill you do not need a back-up.

IF you wish to be extra cautious, you should use condoms for 7 days.

its the 21 day pill... it says on my leaflet that 12 hours is ok but mine was about 13? i'm not sure if i should panic because it was only an hour difference.

Panicking is never the answer, that's for sure.

You are fine. I wouldn't stress at all. the 12 hour mark is when the pill is considered "missed" or "late". Your leaflet says that if you have one "late" or "missed" pill then you are still safe.

Well it depends on the type of pill. It gets really complicated if you're in tri-phasic pills, but I have never heard of any pill that asks for protection after just one missed pill.

Then again, your leaflet should technically be your primary source on this, not the internet. However, I can assure you that one more hour probably didn't make a difference.

Its microgynon 30 - the one with 21 pills. Argh i dont know, i have been taking them for nearly two years and this is the first time i have forgotten one. I'll just keep my fingers crossed.

Your pill is exactly like the pills we have in the US, except it is a different brand name.

For the same type of pill that you are on right now, we are still protected if we only miss one pill.

YOU can use PLAN B/Postinor , or emergency contraception...

It is safe to use with regular BC pills, and would give you added peace of mind.

With Microgynon, if you have missed ONE or TWO pills, you will still be protected against pregnancy and you don't need to use extra contraception. Take the last pill you missed as soon as you remember, then continue taking your pills, one every day, as normal.
